I Vote For Art

I’m really pleased to announce the launch of my latest website – I vote for art. It’s a new online gallery, where you can buy and sell art, as well as vote for your favourites.

Based in Melbourne, Australia the site showcases some fantastic contemporary work by local and international artists.

Thanks again to the wonderful Andrew Gunstone for assistance with the back-end programming and checkout functionality. Andrew, you’re a legend!

So get on over to I vote for art and get yourselves something cool to decorate those walls with!

Really nice website. I like your use of large fonts, images and choice of color to cast emphasis on areas. Good to see the content is very clean as well, makes me happy to browse the web page.

I would recommend however to add some AJAX control to the vote function, so that is doesn’t deviate you from the page.

Apart from that cool stuff!

Hey Anton. Thanks for the kind words.

I completely agree with you re the AJAX comment – that has always been our intention and will vastly improve the user experience. For various reasons we couldn’t implement it for this first release but we’re going to be adding AJAX control and a few other improvements in phase 2.

Thanks to both Ben and Andrew for your help with this – I can’t tell you enough how great it has been working with you guys on the site – I fell in love with Ben’s designs the moment I saw them.

Already I have plenty of ideas for phase 2 … but one step at a time.

Cheers, Ben @ ivoteforart
